The month of July for the Tennessee Valley Republican Women has a primary goal:  Get Out the Vote.  With that all important August election just days away, Republican women are working diligently to help get their candidates elected.  Whether it’s a donation of time, money, or hard work, this organization is supporting those who will represent the Republican philosophy in all local, state and national issues that are before the American people.

The TVRW had an opportunity in its July meeting to hear directly from the Republican nominee for Hamilton County Sheriff, Jim Hammond.  After presenting his goals and ideas for giving the citizens of Hamilton County the best choice for the sheriff’s office, Jim sat down with the TVRW to talk one-to-one about important issues facing our community.

This summer is also a time for the TVRW to move forward in the work being done to raise money to support the ladies in the work they do both locally and for the State of Tennessee.  A beautiful linen tablecloth, designed with the approval of Laura Bush, will be awarded to the lucky ticket holder just in time for Christmas.  Any TVRW member can tell you just how to get in on this fabulous opportunity.  The TVRW is also supporting the TNFRW as that group puts together a cookbook that will be on sale in just a couple of months.  Anyone wanting to contribute their favorite recipe to this book can contact our president, Delores Vinson.

The month of August that is ahead of us will be a time when we see the results of our primary election and it will be a time for everyone to move forward to Get Out the Vote for John McCain in November.  The TVRW encourages everyone to get involved in the work being done to get our candidates elected.
