Tennessee Governor Bill Lee, will be featured speaker at the Hamilton County Republican Party’s 2021 Lincoln Day Dinner Friday, July 30 at 6:30 p.m., at the Westin Hotel in downtown Chattanooga. Other special guests include Lt. Governor Randy McNally and Speaker of the House Cameron Sexton. A general reception will begin at 5:30pm. This event is the largest-single fundraiser for the Hamilton County Republican party, providing financial support throughout a busy campaign year for candidates, communications and community events. Last year’s event featuring Diamond & Silk drew a packed house.
The Republican Party was founded in 1854 as an anti-slave party, and Abraham Lincoln was elected the first Republican president in 1860. East Tennessee has long been a Republican stronghold and Lincoln Day Dinners are held by hundreds of county parties around the country.
